This sound installation and live intervention examine how human generated noise coexists with elemental sounds tied to human survival. Dust operates as the point of entry. Wandering through the forest, dust is collected without tracing its origin or destination. Field recordings are made, yet human voices persist in the background, impossible to fully erase.
Pre recorded forest audio is played through a tube connected to a metal surface, joining feedback noise generated by the same speaker. The two sound entities crossfade, compete, and repeatedly overwrite one another. Control remains unstable. When further manipulation is enforced, the system reaches a point of no return, collapsing into continuous noise without resolution.
A metal plate resonates with sound and vibration. Dust on its surface responds physically, forming shifting sand like graphics that record the interaction. These traces do not function as memory, but as residual evidence of contradictions between past experience and future expectation. Once the sound fades, only the marks remain, detached from their cause.
